Re: “They're on the Move!

Both last year and this we have been camp hosts at Tumalo State Park December through February. Last year - virtually zero robins and this year they are coming through in waves each day (and yes, creating a lot of work for us in cleaning the seedy poop off the picnic tables and sidewalks!). Do you have any idea why the difference - seems like the two winters are relatively the same (not like two winters ago with all the snow)?

Re: “Our Own Airing of Grievances

Re: picking up after dogs. You imply the major issue is that people use a bag but then leave it behind. This is our third winter being park hosts in Bend (first at Pilot Butte and second and third at Tumalo State Park). We are horrified at the number of people who do not pick up at all! My major chore as park host turns out to be picking up after other people's dogs - it is beyond my comprehension why people think it's my job to pick up after their dog, or why they think all the other park visitors want to see piles of dog poop lying around, much less step in it!

Re: “From Butte Lady to Butte Dude

Carol - would love to know what the "campaign" is. Although we are only here for one more week.

Re: “From Butte Lady to Butte Dude

As current park hosts - we are looking forward to watching the PB Challenge for the first time.... but we would like to plead with the owners of the "countless dogs" whose stomping grounds these are - please please PICK UP after your dogs! We spend countless hours picking up after your dogs!
