Re: “Digital Divide

The placement of this cell tower is extremely negligent and ignorant on both the City of Bend and the Bend La Pine School District and it's board members. We unfortunately live in a world where we have this follow the herd mentality and we are not thinking for ourselves and buying into all this technology ( CELL TOWERS, WI-FI IN SCHOOLS, ADDICTIVE DEVICES, SMART METERS) without knowing what the long term effects are.

These are all elected officials that should be supporting our community and fighting this fight with our community members. You elected officials are supposed to be protecting our town and citizens and you are not doing your jobs. You are being complacent saying your hands are tied. This is plain laziness on your part. Get up off your butts and do your jobs!!! Fight the good fight.

I do not live in the Elk Meadow School district but I am a very concerned citizen and I attended and spoke at this meeting during public comment. There were two officials sitting up there working on their commuters while these people were talking. Completely, disrespectful!!

Everyone needs to wake up and take action. Ask yourself today, what can I do to help this situation and these parents and our most vulnerable population, our children. Come on people, don't just sit there complacent, letting Verizon get rich while they damage our children's health.
