"Regardless of the cause, we will still have to deal with the consequences."
Correct, but if man's CO2 is NOT the cause, then we only cause even more harm with the proposed solutions of higher energy prices, throwing away perfectly good cars to get new electric ones (as if most people can afford a new car), unreliable electric grid and loss of jobs. (Green jobs in other countries cause loss of ordinary jobs in other countries and they will here too.)
BTW, most of those glaciers started retreating at the end of the little ice age, the 1850s, and retreated faster in the 1930s warm period than recently.
I note two letters attacking opposition to the claim that we have a climate problem. Can either of these writers cite actual evidence that man's CO2 is causing serious global warming?
Please note that:
--Evidence of warming IS NOT evidence that man's CO2 is the cause.
--Unusual weather occurrences are not evidence of its cause
--Correlation is not causation
--An experts assertion is not evidence.
--Majority belief is not evidence
--Government assertions are not evidence.
--What else could it be is not evidence
--Polls are not evidence
--Climate models are not evidence
