What's most interesting about the news, though, is that BOTH races will be at Mt. Bachelor on the mountain's new trails (which, by late summer 2015, will be a mature two years old). That means the XC event will likely be a lap race, climbing up a mix of fire roads and singletrack and descending on new downhill trails. Should be fun and exceptionally tough—a lot more steep climbing than anywhere else in Central Oregon.
