There comes a point where you have to love the batshit insanity of the biblical epics coming out of Hollywood right now. Earlier this year we saw Russell Crowe building Noah's ark with the help of rock monsters, so why not have Christian Bale play Moses and Australian Joel Egerton play King Ramses, yet have all the slaves be portrayed by black actors. White washing films has been happening for as long as film has existed, but that doesn't mean we have to accept it.
