Just in case interested parties have an extra four hours to kill, Gone With the Wind will play for only two showings. The mega-film tells the story of Scarlett O'Hara and her pursuit of a dude married to his cousin and her eventual marriage to rough-and-tumble Rhett Butler. Set during the American Civil War and Reconstruction era, Gone With the Wind is considered to be one of the finest films of all time...as long as you have the time to watch it.

Part of the Green Team Movie Night, Last Call at the Oasis is a documentary about the global water crisis. It is one of the new breed of "Outrage Docs" that actually backs up its statements with facts instead of speculation and fear mongering. If the water crisis is something affecting you or your family, or if you just want to be in the know, this documentary is not to be missed.

Pretty Faces
A ski film that celebrates women who thrive in the snow and find some of their greatest joys there. This is the first ski film in history to feature only women, which is awesome but also pretty shocking that it took this long to happen. The filmmakers wanted to create something that could be like the Blizzard of Ahhs for a different gender, something that allowed young girls to have better, healthier role models. Directed by professional big mountain skier and SheJumps co-founder Lynsey Dyer, Pretty Faces is an important film that took too long to get here.

BendFilm Opening Night
With an impressive array of films, BendFilm's opening night covers all bases with the films scheduled. Winding Stream is a fantastic documentary about June Carter's family and its history intertwined with the early days of country in the foothills of Appalachia. Vessel tells the powerful story of an abortion clinic on a ship that travels through international waters. There's also Foxy Merkins, one of the funniest and most heartfelt LGBTQ films in years, and a block of dark and edgy Midnight Shorts not for the easily offended. Along with all the parties and music, opening night of BendFilm promises to be one to remember.
