Free Fall

Edward Scissorhands

The Source's free movies return! In celebration of Halloween, we invite you to drink Worthy Beer and get your hair trimmed by the ladies of Bishop's Bend. Ok—we know—Edward Scissorhands is technically a Christmas movie. But it's pretty scary, too. And to kick off our Holiday Movie Bonanza we thought we would pack in as many holidays as possible.

UPCOMING: Thanksgiving: 11/19—A curated cornucopia of '90s Thanksgiving-themed TV episodes! Including: "Friends": "The One with All the Thanksgivings," "Seinfeld:" "The Mom and Pop Store," and more! Christmas: 12/17—Die Hard a Yippee Ki Yay Christmas to all!

7 pm. Wed., Oct. 29. Old Stone Church, 157 NW Franklin Ave. Free.

The Shining

A recent enthusiasm has resurfaced for Stanley Kubrick's classic horror story of the Overlook hotel in films like Room 237, a documentary about the deeper meanings of the film. Relive the 1980 classic, The Shining, about supernatural presences and descents into madness.

6 pm. Wed., Oct. 29. Tin Pan Theater, 869 NW Tin Pan Alley. Free.
