Fire & Water: Hydrogeology of Central Oregon

When: Tue., July 5, 6-7:30 p.m. 2016
Price: Free.
Join volcanologist Dr. Daniele McKay for a fascinating presentation about the unique hydrogeology of the Deschutes Basin. Rain and snowmelt infiltrate the young volcanic rocks and resurface as springs that feed our rivers. The Deschutes River was once known as the “Peculiar River” because of its historically stable, spring-fed flows.
