Why is killing the favored line of defense? Management that does not include killing requires tools. Ranchers feel they can't afford hiring a cowboy to scout, which is 99% effective. Other options such as flaggery, using dogs and other animals have been applied as effective. What stands in the way of these non-violent measures? Do we need to raise funds for ranchers so they can use these methods?
Also, I personally looked up wild life retreats to spend money on visiting today and most of the people I know love wild life viewing as a favored travel activity in Oregon.
