Geology hike at Rimrock Ranch

When: Sat., June 21, 9 a.m.-12 p.m. 2014

Join the Deschutes Land Trust and Daniele McKay for a geology hike around privately-owned Rimrock Ranch. Explore basalt flows, tuff created by volcanic ash, landslide deposits of Pliocene to Upper Miocene age, and Ice Age glacial and pluvial lake deposits. All while hiking from the rim of the canyon carved by Whychus Creek down to creekside meadows.
