Sorry frog lovers, the government shutdown is causing yet another debacle in Central Oregon: the cancelation of a public informational meeting on the spotted frog scheduled to take place at the La Pine senior center.

CANCELLED: Oregon Spotted Frog Meeting
A public informational meeting about the Oregon spotted frog, organized by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, scheduled for Wednesday, October 16 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the La Pine Senior Center is cancelled.The Federal Government is closed as current funding expired on September 30. Due to this event, the Oregon Fish and Wildlife Office and all its field offices (Bend, La Grande, Newport, and Roseburg) are closed to the public. While a lapse in appropriations remains in effect, fish and wildlife management activities and public programs are cancelled.
