This past weekend, the staff of the Source gathered for our annual Holiday Party. This year, we had the pleasure of dining at Tumalo Feed Company. While I don't know if Tumalo Feed was ready for our staff's brand of party time antics, they sure did a great job of feeding us and coddling our sensitive egos. All joking aside, I think that between the 25 or so people in attendance, we ate at least an entire large cow.

This was my first experience at Tumalo Feed Company, and I am confident I can say they serve the biggest steaks in Central Oregon. My filet was about three inches tall, eight inches wide and wrapped in - be still my heart - bacon. And that was just the filet. The rib steak was the size of a two year old. And because meat can't stand alone, everything was served with country potatoes, salad, beans, garlic bread, onion rings and ice cream. It was almost enough food to soak up the last three cans of Four Loko that got passed around.

Thank you, Tumalo Feed Company. Your steaks are the true meaning of Christmas.
