Re: “Sheriff Blanton's Secret List

No, HBM, the question is NOT answered in the fifth paragraph. Just because you think you have the right to know is not the reason you want to know or why you poke about, looking for ways to screw people over. No one ever does anything without a reason. A right is not a reason. A right just sits there. Reasons cause actions. You have a purpose, an action, in mind for obtaining information that can only do harm to the CHL holder. Statistically, the police have a higher crime rate per capita then CHL holders, which you already know, assuming, and it's a very large assumption, that you have a brain with which to investigate this issue. Why don't you investigate the police first, if public safety is your current red herring? What possible good for 6000 some odd are you planning? It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that when the Central Oregon Daily KOS goon squad wants personal information, it is for a degenerate low life asshole reason. If your true purpose is moral, ethical, centered, balanced and above reproach, why don't you spell it out for us? I won't hold my breath...

Re: “The Problem: Too Many People

The Climate Teach-ins should be called the climate propaganda-ins. There is a lot of evidence that the climate regularly has its temperature ups and downs. Many of the hysterics promoting "global warming," if you look at their politics, are mostly concerned with lowering our standard of living to that of third world countries...because they hate America, hate our prosperity and want to trash our economy. These folks are the pro-UN, commie, socialist, Move-0n-0-crats that want to redistribute all wealth and bring everyone down to the same low level... Were we to do that (and this is what these morons don't comprehend) is that in ten years, all the current haves and have nots would all be right back in the same place they are now...the do-ers do and the ass sitters...sit on their ass. You can monkey with the system...but people stay the same. You can redistribute wealth...but you can't redistribute creative zeal, work ethic, a desire to excel and intelligence. We are all born equal...and one second later...that equality is a figment of the dim past. Imagine if all the "reformers" had to first take an enlightenment test....This would eliminate all these dumb bastards from screwing things up...even worse...because they don't have the vaguest clue what the hell reality actually is... Ten thousand years ago...Christmas Valley had palm and magnolia trees, camels, and a warm humid Mediterranean climate...hell of lot hotter here, when there was damn few people around...The rains of Western Oregon have only been around for about five thousand years...before that it was a Savannah in the coastal, Salem and Eugene area...crap changes all the is doing that now in a very minor way...with all due respect, take your alarmist ignorant do-gooder socialistic leveling politics...grab the nearest telephone pole...and shove them where the sun don't shine.

Re: “The Problem: Too Many People

There was a dozen too many people when the first one showed up...The planet has a terminal virus...and we are it... When all of you have left, I'll consider your example.

Re: “The Virus of Hate

"nothing they will do will change the past." So what? What they do WILL change the future. Revenge or retaliation is not ever about changing the past, it is about altering the future. For Christ's sake, that is why we have a criminal justice system! When we execute a murderer, we don't undo the murder, we prevent another one in the future. The problem with people like this L.L.Pierce is that they are incapable of projecting their theory into an operating would it actually work? Not to mention, they lack the slightest understanding of how humans operate. In real life, it doesn't matter what caused somebody to do something despicable; leave that to the theorists. What matters, is that particular person is stopped from ever doing it again. Sometimes, hate accomplishes that better than anything...for instance, a dead person has a very difficult time raping your daughter again...or anybody else's. Never forget, we are four to ten missing paychecks away from being mere beasts of prey. Our base animal...take a look at the news, any day of the week. Wake up!

Re: “Time for the Truth About 9/11

Channing makes a lot of sense. After all, Truman Capote was a smart little cherub. Only fitting that his old toothpicks would be the key to Unlocking The Mysteries Of 911. Also fitting that Mahan should refund your $3.99 plus deposit, though. Fair is fair.

Re: “Why Kucinich Stands Tall

Wellock's list is the very thing the vast majority of mainstream America would find repulsive about him. He has no standing in the polls, because his appeal is only to the far left lunatic fringe of the Democratic party, territory familiar to this Wellock. Wellock pokes derision at the 30% or so that still support Bush, while she throws her arrogant support behind someone that would be lucky to get 5% of the vote. If voter approval rating is her chosen criteria, as can be interpolated, then the Bushies (30%) are six times smarter than she (5%) is. Kucinich is a far left nut job and is not remotely electable for very good reasons. Wellock thoughtfully listed all the reasons.

Re: “The Great Stud Delusion

You'd think this was a subject to get worked up over. Whether one is for or against studs is an entirely personal decision based on your personal experience and preference, not what some worked up, biased, ill-informed dude with an agenda has to say on a web post. You like them or you don't like them. With close to two million miles under my belt as a professional driver and business and leisure travel, driving all over North America from the Arctic Circle to Mexico, give me a good set of gnarly radials with studs on a 4wd if I'm likely to encounter typical winter conditions. The slightly less grip dry or wet is more than offset by the better grip on any combination of ice and snow. Dry or wet isn't what kills you, the skid demon is... I've found in my life the most self-deluded of all folks, are the pontificating stupid ones quick to call others self-deluded...The ones that think their opinion is fact...The ones whose mouth is quick to overload their pathetic lame butt... Chambers, above is a good example of the oafish genre. Waltz with who brung ya to the dance...
