This mine site has been in a state of controversy since 1977 when a man named Aaron Kermit Akin had control of this deposit and one in Christmas Valley Oregon... Heirer's were cheated out of their father/grandfathers work by a good ol' boys network that still exists today! Seems to me to clean up the mine would mean cleaning up the good ol' boys network first!!!
