Local author and historian Tor Hanson highlights everything you want to know about the Great Depression seen through the eyes of Bend's millworkers and business owners. The people of Bend came together and made the best of the situation. With the election of Roosevelt, Bend started getting help through the elaborate relief system set up by the government.
