More Change Afoot at Old Mill Brew Werks

Old Mill Brew Works changes location to the old 10 Barrel spot and will brew under the name Bend Brew Works.

Dave Love, co-founder of Old Mill Brew Werks is finally making the big move from brew purveyor to brew creator. Love recently inked an agreement to take over the old 10 Barrel space in the Brinson business park in northeast Bend where he will begin brewing as Bend Brew Werks. Love has hired brewer Mike McMahon out of Langley, Wash., and expects to be up and running by April. Love sold the Old Mill pub and restaurant last year. Now, Nate Chambers is operating as one of several co-owners of the pub/restaurant, who said Brew Werks brewery will provide some of the beer for the pub. McMahon is currently using equipment at Phat Matt's Brewing Company in Redmond to produce Brew Werks Neurotic Blonde and Rabble Rouser Red, which should be on tap at the pub soon. The pub is currently pouring Brew Werks Paranoia Pale Ale and Irreverence IPA, which was made at Silver Moon Brewing, along with 10 other beers. Here's the bottom line: Bend officially lays claim to another brewery and Old Mill Brew Werks is still up and running.
