Yesterday was opening day at Mt. Bachelor and, thanks to recent storms, real snow was piled high.

- Shredding in November!
Although hectic in the morning, our forces on the hill are reporting that the crowds thinned by 11:30am. We reckon it'll be more of the same today, though with the Sunrise lift opening today, the masses should be more evenly distributed across the mountain.
Here's a look at what to expect through the weekend.
The forecast for today looks reasonable enough, it's the prediction of rain tonight that has us worried. Rain would be a bummer for the 17 inches that Bachelor has received over the last 72 hours.
If, however, the cold front comes through as forecast, we should get more snow Saturday, Saturday night and Sunday.
Other notables:
Nordic Center Open and groomed. Skating feels soft, but classic looks to be good (see photo below).
The Mountain 67 inches already and counting. 26 inches at West Village and 41 inches at mid-mountain.
Overall, it's a been a good start to the ski season—Bachelor is calling it the "best November conditions in years."
