Music For Dogs: 5 for Fido Tonight at Mountain's Edge

Five local bands team up to play for dog causes.

This isn't music for dogs necessarily, but rather music that benefits dogs. The 5 for Fido event features a hand's worth of local bands playing music to raise money for the Lost Dogs film project and the Central Oregon Human Society.

The lineup for the 21-and-over show at Mountain's Edge Bar includes a wildly eclectic lineup that features some familiar names like Leif James, Boxcar String Band, Sofa Kings, Still Fear and Exfixia.

Tickets are $5 (keeping with the five theme) and the show kicks off at 7pm.

Again, this event is in part a fundraiser for Lost Dogs, a film project spearheaded by Bend's own Vanessa Shulz, that takes a look at street dogs in Chile. We are profiling her in our upcoming Canine Issue, along with plenty of other dog-centric stories -- including a new advice column in which an actual dog answers your questions.

Take a look at a trailer from the film here:

It’s been a while since we’ve seen the talented (and now married) Matt & Kali in Bend Oregon… but that’s all going to change tonight at Silver Moon Tap Room! If you’ve missed past coverage of The Ascetic Junkies, well… you must have been hidden under a rock.
