Yea, to bad metal detectors are limited to going over the same old ground as mandated by the government! In Oregon we are allowed only a short listing of state parks and even there we can only detect on the grassy manicured areas that have already been scowered by hundreds of others. Its a great plan for having the public clean your parks up though.. great for pull tabs and an occasional 1983 dime. Metal detecting in Oregon is a joke! I'll be doing all of my work on private land and will be just as forthcoming with my finds as Oregon has been at giving me the right to use my public lands for metal detecting. I'll be joining the miners association and fighting to get my rights back. Thanks Oregon!
