Newberry Volcano, cradled by East and West Paulina Lakes

Newberry Volcano: Our Backyard Giant

Learn about our local mighty Ice Age wonder: Newberry Volcano and its geology, rare botany, geography and deep history. The caldera, roughly 4x5 miles across, is cradled by East and West Paulina Lakes. The 700-acre Big Obsidian Flow within the caldera was created just 1,300 years ago. Stu Garrett, speaker.
