Have you seen a large peanut roaming the streets of Bend over the past few days? No, you aren't going nuts — the Planters Peanut crew is in town.
Molly O'Brien, Patrick Golden and Jenna Stoklosa are all recent college grads who were bestowed the honor of traveling across the country in a giant, custom-made NUTmobile, promoting the Planters brand.
Kraft Heinz recruits a new class of "Peanutters" every year, who will then spend an entire year traveling to towns from coast to coast promoting Planters. Of over 1,000 applicants for the positions, only nine lucky college grads were chosen.
There are three custom-made NUTmobiles on the road, each weighing approximately 13,000 pounds (or 3 million peanuts, according to O'Brien). The buses, 26 feet in length and nearly 12 feet tall, were crafted with fiberglass and pool noodles to get that peanut-like facade.
O'Brien, Golden and Stoklosa are the sixth class of Peanutters to hit the road for Planters Peanuts.
