Are you sick, tired, fed up, disgusted, depressed and angry after eight long, long, LONG years of George W. Bush? Do you wish there was something you could do to get him out of the White House sooner?
Well, there isn't. But you can take out your frustration by hitting him in the face with a shoe - a virtual shoe, of course.
At least two on-line games have appeared on the Web inspired by this week's shoe attack on Bush by Iraqi journalist Muntadar al-Zaidi.
At one, sockandawe.com, you throw "shoes" at a moving Bush and try to hit him as many times as possible in 30 seconds. At this writing more than eight million "shoes" have hit the target, according to the site's counter.
The Eye's best score so far is a meager six hits. But we intend to keep practicing ... and practicing and practicing.
Warning: You might have some trouble getting the site to load because of heavy traffic. It took us four tries before we finally got in - but it was worth it.
Another game, Bush's Boot Camp, is more sophisticated - and considerably harder. You have two "guns" with which you're supposed to knock down flying "shoes" before they hit Bush. The most The Eye could manage to hit was one. But maybe we weren't really trying.
