Oregon Free File Program

Congressman Walden visits Bend Senior Center urging Central Oregonians to use the state and federal free file programs to file taxes online at no cost.

BEND – Today, Congressman Greg Walden is in Bend to talk to his constituents at the Bend Senior Center and to urge all eligible Oregon residents to use the IRS and Oregon Free File programs to save money and time during this tax season. Approximately 70 percent of all taxpayers are eligible to use the software products to prepare and securely file their tax returns online at no cost.  Rep. Walden also highlighted free tax services in Central Oregon provided by AARP-Tax-Aide.

Oregon is one of 20 states plus the District of Columbia that have formed state Free File programs, enabling eligible taxpayers to file both their federal and state tax returns online for free.
