Foxy Shazam is a band that is as dazzling as its name, a group of crusty, over-the-top rockers that will rip your heart out of your chest with their stunning live performances. The singer is known for eating lit cigarettes on stage and for his fits of spastic and enthralling performance, that has been compared to Meat Loaf and Queen for his stunning theatrics. Stop Light Observations and Marca Luna open. 7 pm. Hawthorne Theatre. $15-18.

Britt Festival

At 28-years-old, Trombone Shorty has a resume most musicians could only dream of, including nine studio albums and gigs with Lenny Kravitz, Kid Rock, Eric Clapton, U2 and Green Day. He's also worked with fellow performers, Galactic, a funk, jazz, jam band that rocks in the same Cajun New Orleans wheelhouse as Trombone Shorty himself. 7 pm. Britt Pavilion in Jacksonville. $20-$44.
