Tonight, Failure Machine, a soulful, punk duo are bringing their original songs and roughed-up covers all the way from Reno, Nev. to take the stage at Volcanic Theatre Pub alongside local act Patrimony.
The Source caught up with lead singer and guitarist of Patrimony, Trevor Martell about the the band's history and influences prior to the show.
Check out the band's three track EP below and live tonight at 9 pm.
After meeting in high school, Trevor Martell (vocals and guitar), Wyatt Phillip (bass) and Jason Allenby (drums) started writing music together and despite some former tiffs, the chemistry of Patrimony stuck.
"Wyatt and I used to despise each other, calling each other punks, until I heard him listening to the White Stripes one day," explained Martell. "He had never played an instrument, so I invited him over to listen to these songs. The three of us have been best friends ever since."
