Things just keep looking better and better for the summer music scene here in Bend -- and doubly so now that it's been announced that progressive popsters Pinback are playing the Domino Room on July 8.
The band played a sold-out show at the Domino in February of 2007, but haven't been back since. For whatever reason, the band -- comprised of the dynamic team of Rob Crow and Armistead Burwell Smith IV -- is incredibly popular here in Bend, and you'll hear their records spinning in Ranch Records as well as on 92.7FM.
The Bend show is part of a brief West Coast tour that, according to the Pinback website, will feature just Crow and Smith, in somewhat of a departure from their previous full-band engagements. But with the gadgetry these two guys tend to roll with, don't expect a slump in the sound.
The additionally awesome details are that tickets are only $14 in advance and it's all ages.
Sure, it snowed a few inches today, but summer, and it's increasingly sweet music lineup, has to come sometime...right?
