Pit Bull Piece Was Biased

I read the WTF? in the latest issue of The Source. As a pitbull (sic) owner, obviously I, or the rest of us RESPONSIBLE owners (sic), am not going to like that write up. As a journalist, what are you doing taking sides? If no one on your staff owns a pitbull (sic), fine, but stick to journalism, and do not take sides.

Without going into all the positive aspects and well-documented acts that the breed has been credited for, put this thought into perspective: Of all the cases of child abuse that is (sic) reported, how many go unreported? Now, how many cases of animal abuse go unreported? Thanks to media and certain styles of advertising and image building, so many pitbulls (sic) go into the wrong environments, and the result of those dogs are what is hurting the breeds (sic) reputation. Pitbulls (sic) require a similar raising as a child, lots of positive attention. They are a family dog - not a status (symbol), a guard (dog), or (a) dog of image. Take any of the homes a pit attack came from, replace the pit with any dog, go visit within X amount of time, and guess what? Whatever dog they have is not going to be a mentally healthy, tail-wagging dog.

If you guys at The Source want to actually be journalists, come to my house and meet what a true environmentally happy/healthy pitbull (sic) acts and behaves like. Be careful, you may want to own (one) after that visit.
