River Rim Coffeehouse Changes Owners and Name

As of June 1, River Rim Coffehousee— a popular Brookswood Plaza gathering spot on the south end of town— has new owners and a new name; Hey Joe Coffee Bar.

Here's the press release:

Brad and Tracey Wierman took over the coffee house and have re-branded it Hey Joe Coffee Bar. As the new owners, we are very excited about the opportunity and have lots of ideas to make the coffee house a valuable local family destination. Like the rest of Brookswood Plaza, Hey Joe is an extension of the neighborhood and our goal is to become much more involved in the surrounding area. Our plan is to keep the weekly events as scheduled in the past; open mic on Wednesday evenings and local live music on Fridays. And as we become more settled, we will be adding more weekly events like “vinyl Thursdays” and hopefully a destination for small group meetings or private parties etc.

You can look forward to a new and revised menu. We have already changed our coffee vendor to Lone Pine Coffee Roasters, based here in Bend. In the near future we will be adding more breakfast items beyond our new pastry supplier, Fearless Bakery. New lunch and evening options are on the horizon too. Also coming soon, gelato and kombucha on tap.

If you are a regular or someone that hasn't been in for a while, please stop by. Our goal is to make Hey Joe Coffee Bar a true neighborhood destination where you feel welcome to come by, relax, enjoy a bite to eat and have a great cup of coffee. We are open evenings, Wednesday — Saturday so come hang out with us for some light bites, beer and wine, terrific music and other fun social events.

Definitely more interested in this Vinyl Thursdays thing. And it's great to know that local music still has a home there!
