Franchot Tone Acoustic Live

What pairs best with Bolognese and a winter kale Caesar salad? The acoustic grooves of Franchot Tone, of course! The Bend-based singer/songwriter goes unplugged at the Eastside Jackson's Corner for an evening of his signature melodies. No matter the temperature outside, Tone's smooth vocals and warm vibes will raise the heat on this January evening. Save room during your meal for a side of Franchot Tone. 6-8 pm. Fri, Jan 23. Jackson's Corner East Side, 1500 NE Cushing.

Casey Abrams

Whether or not you recognize his name or his voice from the tenth season of American Idol, you won't be able to get Casey Abrams' catchy, blues-inspired, pop-rock tunes out of your head after Friday night. And if you don't remember the lyrics to "Simple Life," it's almost certain you won't forget his full, red beard. With a beard and a voice like that, Casey Abrams will get along just fine in Central Oregon. 8 pm. Fri, Jan 23. The Belfry 302 East Main Ave, Sisters. $18, $13/student.

¡Chiringa!

Lead singer Shireen Amini returns to Bend from the Bay Area and she's getting the band back together. When ¡Chiringa! takes the stage, it is a near mandate to shake your booty to their spicy Latin beats. Accompanying their infectious sounds will be a special dance showcase by Bend Touch of the Latin Dance Academy of Bend. Salsa, Bachata, Cha Cha, all accompanied by Amini's vocals. 8-11 pm. Sat. Jan 24. Silver Moon Brewing 24 NW Greenwood Ave. Free.

Orquesta Monte Calvo

It wasn't too long ago that Corvallis/Portland-based Afro-Latin band Orquesta Monte Calvo graced Bend with its presence and incredibly danceable music. They're bringing their world-music stylings back to Volcanic for an evening of traditional and modern South American jams, as well as Psychedelic Cumbia, Chicha, Samba, and funk. Put on those dancing shoes, Bend. 9 pm. Sat., Jan 24. Volcanic Theatre Pub 70 SW Century Dr. $5.
