Spill The Wine For Bend Galleries

For the past eleven years, since my wife and I became full time residents of Bend, we have enjoyed freeloading at the monthly art walks. Have we ever bought art on these occasions?Maybe ten small Christmas gifts and one ceramic piece that I accidentally broke. All of which were probably of far less value than all the wine and snacks we've consumed.

We had an epiphany a couple of months ago. Don't we receive a lot more enjoyment each month from our First Friday walks than the cost of an inexpensive bottle of wine? We are so fortunate to have such classy galleries in our modest-sized city. I know the gallery owners are not raking in large piles of cash during these times of stingy discretionary spending. Recently, my wife and I have started taking one bottle of inexpensive wine to a different gallery each month. Needless to say, the gallery people are very appreciative. I would like to encourage all you fellow freeloaders to join us in showing appreciation and "sharing the grape" with your favorite gallery.
