Summit Loop Geology Hike

Learn about how this dramatic area was formed by volcanic forces and the relentless erosive power of the Crooked River while taking in sweeping views of the Cascade crest.

When: Thu., Nov. 7, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. 2019

Join the Deschutes Land Trust for a hike along the Summit Loop Trail at Smith Rock State Park. This gorgeous loop follows the Burma Road up to a ridge overlooking the canyon. On the descent, cross a private property protected by the Land Trust before joining the Park's river trail.
