Ten For Him

Top 10 films for him

1. Drive:

A great cast in a wonderfully low-budget modern noir. Slick and surprisingly gruesome, Drive is my surprise hit of the year.

2.Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2:

Harry and his wizardly mates go out in style with the final chapter of this magical saga that defined a generation.

3. Horrible Bosses:

One of the funniest movies I've seen in a long time. Hilarious antics from some of Hollywood's heavyweights, including a Jennifer Aniston you'll wish was your boss.

4. The Lion King 3D:

An all-time favorite of mine, only this time, the pack from Pride Rock and the circle of life get the 3D treatment, as every other successful film most likely will in the coming years.

5. The Kings Speech:

I had to verify, but this Oscar winner was indeed released in 2011. A spot-on biopic about King George and the speech impediment he struggled to correct.

6. The Hangover, Part 2:

The wolfpack shows that bad habits never die as their poor decision making heads to Thailand. Same ole shit, but same ole laughs.

7. Super 8:

It's as if director J.J. Abrams decided to redo Cloverfield, except this time with the help of Steven Spielberg. An all-around entertaining two hours of cinema.

8. X-Men: First Class:

I'm a sucker for superhero movies and this X-Men origin story does more than tide me over until next year's The Dark Knight Rises.

9. Crazy Stupid Love:

I can't put my finger on it, but I really enjoyed this movie about a family going through some changes and how it affects each of them differently. Its funny, it's cool, a bit sad, but most importantly, everyone can relate to it.

10. The Help:

Based on the best-selling book, this movie chronicles one aspiring writer's will to expose the ugliness of racial prejudice and segregation in 1960s Mississippi.
