To say too much about the plot of The One I Love would be cruel to a viewer. The proper way to go into the film is with the barest of ideas of what the film contains. Mark Duplass and Elizabeth Moss play a married couple trying to capture the excitement and happiness they had earlier in their marriage. They go on a retreat to a big old house with a bunch of property to refocus on their relationship and some very odd things start to occur. The film is a romantic dramedy/mystery focused on issues like identity, fate and destiny without ever becoming preachy or anything less than fascinating.
