Hey everyone! Halloween is right around the corner and what better way to celebrate it for a film geek than make a list of the top 100 horror films of all time. Hitfix took a poll, asking some of the greatest horror actors, writers and directors of the last half century what their favorite horror films were. People like John Carpenter (Director of
Halloween, The Thing and Prince of Darkness), Clive Barker (Creator of the
Hellraiser franchise), Drew Goddard (Co-Writer and Director of
Cabin in the Woods) and Edgar Wright (Writer/Director of
Shaun of the Dead) are just a few of the people that took part in this poll. The list does have a few surprises, but the top ten are pretty close to exactly what you would expect:
10)
Jaws (1975)
9)
Night of the Living Dead (1968)
8)
Psycho (1960)
7)
Halloween (1978)
6)
The Thing (1982)
5)
Alien (1979)
4)
Rosemary's Baby (1968)
