Stunning but haunting, Scarlett Johansson is transformed into something otherworldly in Under the Skin. Johansson’s beauty, not exploited like in some of her films, is used to her advantage and makes the science fiction art film both mesmerizing and terrifying. Although still a seductress, Johansson’s stirring and sensual performance is motivated by her interests in preying on the men of Scotland. Jonathan Glazer showcases Scarlett Johansson’s talent in this chilling, mind-bending thriller.
