Venus in Fur

A French language adaptation of the Tony Award winning play, which was itself inspired by Leopold von Sacher-Masoch's 1870 novel Venus in Furs. The film follows a writer-director who is auditioning actresses for his new play and cannot seem to find the right woman. When the mysterious Vanda auditions, she captures his imagination and controls his very agency, sending them both on a night-long spiral into obsession, power and permissiveness.
