Video From the Clumsy Lovers Show

A review of Clumsy Lovers' show in Bend, Oregon.

Music fans in Bend don’t easily forget. That’s why when Vancouver, BC’s bluegrassish party band Clumsy Lovers played the Silver Moon last night—despite not having played in town for at least three years—fans remembered that this band used to rip it up here in town. And rip it up the Lovers did once again, stemming a massively sweaty dance party.

Although not terribly exciting to watch for the most part, with the exception of front man Trevor Rogers, the band succeeded in ripping through two sets that showcased many of their originals, but also tossed in plenty of covers, including “I’ve Been Everywhere,” “Octopus’ Garden” and a teaser of the Rolling Stones’ “Emotional Rescue” near the end of the set. The sold-out Pepper show across the street at the Domino Room didn’t seem to hurt attendance at the Moon for this Grove-produced show…although there probably wasn’t much crossover between the two groups’ fan bases.

And on the beer front—not that this has anything to do with music—but Silver Moon’s newly released Hoppopotamus is downright delicious. I would gladly bathe in it's hoppy delight if provided with the proper amount.

Here’s some video of the Clumsy Lovers from last night:
