Video of Greg Mortenson, Author of "Three Cups of Tea," Speaking in Bend

Greg Mortenson addresses a group of school children in Bend, Oregon.

I just got back from Summit High School where Greg Mortenson, the author of Three Cups of Tea: One Man's Mission to Promote Peace...One School at a Time, was speaking to a sizable congregation of elementary school-aged kids.

At the event, the organizers also announced the total sum raised during the Pennies for Peace fundraiser in town, which came to $52,729.04.

I also had a chance to sit down with Mortenson, who has dedicated his life to help build schools in Pakistan in the hope of educating children, especially young girls, before his presentation and I will have the text from that chat up on the site tomorrow. So check back.

But in the meantime, here's some footage of Mortenson speaking at Summit High.
