Wednesday Night Music Night in Bend

Music in Bend Oregon on Wednesday night

It's Wednesday and you know what that means, don't you? Yes, it's hump day and your weekend is that much closer, but also it's become one of the best nights for live music in Bend. Here are a few of our best bets for an enjoyable evening of fine tunes.

Greg Brown

A folk musician from Iowa, Greg Brown is known for his personal and intimate concerts. Tonight he's playing at the Tower Theatre, which doesn't exactly scream personal, but does have an intimate feel, especially with the right musician. The Midwest folkie is known for his deeply rich voice. His records have earned him numerous awards, but it’s always been his live performances that have made Brown a legend in the folk world. Longtime Brown collaborator Bo Ramsey opens. $30/adv, $35/day of show. 8pm. Tower Theatre, 835 NW Wall St.

Tone Red

McMenamins seems to always have your Wednesday music covered and this week is no different. Tone Red, which plays "whiskey inspired soul tunes", features some of Bend's best musicians including Crystal Pizzola, Tyler Mason, Aaron Miller, Jared Forqueran, and Mathew Hyman and Joe Shulte from the Moon Mountain Ramblers. For that new, old-timey sound head down to McMenamins for a soulful good time. Free. 7pm. McMenamins, 700 NW Bond St.

Also tonight, local singer-songwriter Josh Hart performs originals and soulful spins on classic covers at Bo Asian Bistro, 550 NW Franklin Ave, #118, at 7pm.
