What In The World?

In the greatest military operation of the year, the US government dropped 2000 poison-laden mice onto Guam today, in an attempt to control an invasion of snakes - that have been disrupting both the protectorate's ecosystem and power grid. And, by dropped, we mean, parachuted in!

And, in the saddest civic story of the year, Detroit, as in the once-fourth largest US city and the craddle of the American soul (i.e., cars, Motown, Eminem), is now officially bankrupt. In other news, Delta is booking inexpensive flights for anyone wanting to head out and buy up property.

And, finally, in an old habits die hard: A Moscow court sentenced a former dancer to six years in a penal colony for splashing acid in the face of the legendary Bolshi Dance Company. So old-school USSR.
