Back for the 4th year, Bite Week is where taste meets hands-on experiences. Four days of tasting and education including chefs' dinners, demonstrations, classes and cocktail experiences hosted at locations throughout Bend. Bite Week is your opportunity to learn new flavors and techniques from some of Central Oregon's best. Unlike any other culinary offering in Central Oregon, Bite Week is an opportunity for home cooks and food enthusiasts to learn from some of the region's best chefs and purveyors in more than two dozen events. Crafting the perfect pairing of rosé and cheese for your summer celebration need not be difficult. Join the Whole Foods Market Specialty Team for an evening of rosé and cheese tasting. Our wine connoisseurs will select five of the finest rosés in the market, pair them with the perfect cheeses, and talk you through how the magic is made. It will all take place in our airy café, so don't miss it.

Join one of their brewmasters as he walks you through the process and art of brewing your own beer the Immersion way! Warning: you may feel compelled to sign up for the extended play full experience which is explained below.

How it works: book an appointment on-line (; come to your appointment and choose your recipe; create a special hand-crafted beer in only two hours; email your label design; return in three weeks for bottling and labelling; leave with approximately five gallons of beer!

Every year since the inception of Bite Week Kim Cressman, manager of Navidi's Bend, has taught an outstanding class that can basically be described as making your culinary life exhilarating and easy at the same time. Yet again she will show you how to create appetizers, salads, beverages, entrees using flavored oils and vinegars, all in an hour and a half. You will leave with recipes, and excited to share your tricks with friends and family. Let the party begin!

Kim has working in the Culinary & Hospitality worlds since she was 16, from prep cook to Chef De Cuisine. Beginning on the east coast she migrated west, her longest stint in the Northwest with Lisa Schroeder, owner of Mother's Bistro & Bar in PDX.

Nestled in the dramatic rolling hills west of Terrabonne is the beautiful Faith Hope and Charity Vineyards, arguably the highest quality wine producer in Central Oregon. Sit back and enjoy the ride. Upon arrival you will be hosted to a winery tour by owner Cindy Grossman, offered the appropriate glass of wine to pair with the first course of house made charcouterie. Settle in for an outstanding pairing of small plates and FHC wines. Bowtie's Chef Gene Soto has been in the Pacific Northwest culinary scene, in executive chef roles from Deschutes Brewery to Skamania Lodge and most styles in between. Teaming up with Bowtie co-owner Sanda Costello 18 months ago, they bring an elegant naturalness to everything they create, as you'll have ample opportunity to taste.

Please join Deschutes Brewery for a tribute to the Pacific Northwest and the amazing largess it offers. At this beer paired dinner, Deschutes will focus on the concept of both raw goods and produce traveling a full circle and coming together to create amazing fare. A four-course meal will be created by Deschutes' Executive Chef Brian Kerr and thoughtfully paired by Assistant Brew Master Robin Johnson. Both will be part of the evening, providing insight into beer, food, and the journey these items take before making it to your plate and pint glass. This event will be hosted at The Mountain Room with it's spectacular views to the west, at Deschutes Brewery and will be family style seating.
