The Fold, Until June, Lady Danville, Lynhurst and Capture The Flag

friday 5

Oh boy, is The Fold's tongue-in-cheek song "Every Band in the USA" hilarious. The intentionally overly popped-out track gives shout outs to Miley Cyrus and skinny jeans, all the while ripping the increasingly trite conventions of the mainstream music industry. The band's actual music is brightly colored pop-punk that's our all ages scene is going to love. $8/door. 7:30pm. Domino Room, 51 NW Greenwood Ave.

Art Fusion

friday 5

Painting and music collide into some sort of multi-headed, endlessly-eared artistic monster at this event that only the PoetHouse folks could pull off. Music is provided by The Autonomics, Mosley Wotta, MacDara, J. Hodgson and others while the PoHosters translate those sounds into visual art. $5 suggested donation. 9:30pm. PoetHouse Art, 55 NW Minnesota Ave.

Steve Kimock with CB3

saturday 6

Remember the last time Steve Kimock came to town? He dazzled a packed Domino Room with his funky Crazy Engine lineup. Now, he returning, playing along with the Chris Berry Trio, adding his lightning-like guitar work to Berry's Zimbabwe-based sound and impressive vocal stylings and groovy jams. Yes, you can dance to it. $20/adv at bendticket.com, Ranch Records, ticketwest.com. $25/door. 9pm. Domino Room, 51 NW Greenwood Ave.

Tone Red

saturday 6

Organizing Community to Overrule the Court

sunday 7

In case you haven't heard, the Supreme Court has recently made a ruling that will likely transform campaign finance as we know it and a group of locals aren't too pleased about this, calling it a path toward "corporate personhood." Riki Ott and David Cobb facilitate this community dialogue to help make a change. 7pm, Central Oregon Environmental Center, 16 NW Kansas St.

Joe Bonamassa

Igor & The Red Elvises

Playing for Change: Peace Through Music

thursday 11

If there ever was a film that displayed the global power of music, it's this documentary.
