Animal fat intake increased 60% between 1961 and 2008! Did you know that those who don't eat meat cut their risk of dementia in half? Animal fat plays a part in heart disease as well, there is a connection between clogged arteries and dementia and Alzheimer's. Alzheimer's is plaque in the vessels in the brain.

 Our Western diet is not favorable given these debilitating diseases! Alzheimer's is not curable but it is preventable. Blueberries and strawberries slow rates of cognitive decline, even just drinking fruit and vegetable juice daily lowers your risk for Alzheimer's. A diet in antioxidants is key.
