wednesday 28- sunday 2 Holiday Ale Festival

The Northwest's only outdoor winter beer festival, this beer bash will have all the holiday essentials: Christmas trees, music, food and, most importantly, a whole lot of alcohol. Despite the rain and cold that makes up most of Portland's winter months, attendees will be drinking under a large clear tent, which affords views of the city lights from Pioneer Square. Gas heaters will keep folks toasty as they sample some of the best seasonal brews from all around the Northwest. More than fifteen limited release aged beers will also be offered from Deschutes, Dog Fish Head, Alaskan Brewing Company, Kona and more. Pioneer Courthouse Square.

wednesday 5 The Moondoggies and The Maldives

The Moondoggies are a roots-rock group that injects Pacific Northwest indie style into their heavy harmonies and drawling guitar. 8 p.m. Mississippi Studios.

tuesday 4 Deck The Hall Ball

107.7 The End's annual Deck the Hall Ball will bring together some of the most popular electro-rock acts of the last year, including The Killers, M83, Metric, Awolnation, Group Love and Passion Pit.
