CAN Cancer is a local non-profit that provides assistance in the form of non-medical living expenses (food, lodging, travel, etc.) to Central Oregonians fighting all forms of cancer. The non-profit was established by Wilderness Garbage in cooperation with the Central Oregon Haulers, which is a group of garbage and disposal companies. In their first year, the organization raised over $13,000 and helped 69 cancer patients throughout Central Oregon.

CAN Cancer has recently been accepted to The Pepsi Refresh Project, which is a national contest that looks for people, businesses, and non-profits with ideas that will have a positive impact in the community.
