Justin Timberlake's new album dropped today reigniting all of the admiration my nine-year-old self had for the curly haired front man of N'Sync.
The new album, The 20/20 Experience, is everything I could ask for from a Timberlake release. It's cloyingly catchy, totally danceable and super sexy.
If you've been out of the loop, Timberlake just bought Myspace (now with lower-case s). He was one of the investors behind a $35 million buy-out of the jaded social network. Now, Timberlake is attempting to relaunch the site championing Myspace as a tool for musicians and fans to connect and share music.
Timberlake performed at SXSW in Austin last Saturday at a "Myspace Secret Show" for which you had to join (or rejoin) Myspace to be eligible for a ticket. I registered, but sadly, it wasn't soon enough. Now, I'm at a loss for what to do with my "new" Myspace account, but the registration was well worth the chance to see JT live.
His show and the new album are receiving stellar reviews, and Myspace or no, The 20/20 Experience is worth a listen. Also, check out his strangely depressing EIGHT MINUTE LONG video for the song 'Mirrors.' Check out the album and video below.
