Super villains of the world just collectively pooped themselves It’s finally happening. The Avengers is coming out at midnight.

We know you've been patiently awaiting the premiere. So, to hold you over until midnight, here is a trailer for The Avengers made-for-TV-movie (circa 1978) in which the teams of earth’s mightiest heroes fight their arch nemesis, Loki, and the terribly threatening rock band KISS.

The cast features Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, Chris Evans as Captain America, Mark Ruffalo as the Hulk, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow and the ever bad-ass Samuel L. Jackson as team coordinator Nick Furry. Written and directed by Joss Whedon (Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Cabin in the Woods) this film is catnip for comic book nerds.
