Craine Prairie Resort
Opposite of Cultus Lake Resort, on the Cascade Lakes National Scenic Byway lays Craine Prairie Resort, which along with many RV camping sites, also offers three rustic lakeside cabins. After a day of fishing or swimming at the lake, the cabins present a cozy alternative for those not interested in packing along a tent. The convenient gas stoves and sleeping lofts tucked into the cabins are gathering places for ghost and fishing storytellers alike. Cabins are rented for $50-$75 a night.
Suttle Lake
Those looking for a more luxurious cabin stay, head to Suttle Lake Lodge past Sisters. In the shadow of Mount Washington, these lavish cabins and lodge suites are fully furnished and some even have the option for satellite television. Maybe it's not camping in the traditional sense, but the serene lake is still a relaxing haven. For those wanting to experience Suttle Lake in a more rustic way, yurt rentals are available from the Forest Service on the other side of the lake. Year round; varying prices.
