Nerd Alert!: Fight Club to have Graphic Novel Sequel

Author Chuck Palahniuk (Portland resident with a disturbing imagination and a knack for fiction) announced at this weekend's Comic-Con that everyone's favorite split-personality duo, Tyler Durden and Jack ofFight Club, will return in a sequel to the book/movie in the from of a graphic novel.

Palahniuk's first, and most comerically successful novel, Fight Club was best burned into the pop-culture consciousness by Edward Norton Jr.'s button-down psycho portrayal of the unnamed narrator and Brad Pitt's Herculean abs as Norton's alter-ego in the 1999 film directed by David Fincher.

Yes, those abs.

Here's what Palahniuk had to say about the sequel:

"Tyler is telling the story, lurking inside Jack, and ready to launch a comeback. Jack is oblivious. Marla is bored," he explained, according to Reuters. "Their marriage has run aground on the rocky coastline of middle-aged suburban boredom. It's only when their little boy disappears, kidnapped by Tyler, that Jack is dragged back into the world of Mayhem."

The project could launch as early as 2015 but has yet to be approval and is also seeking a publisher. The author has been in meetings with artists and big-shots from DC, Marvel and and Dark Horse.

In the meantime, you can get your Palahniuk fix by reading one of his fourteen other over-the-top surreal novels that range in content from a deadly African chant to inner monologues of porn actors. The author has more fiction releases scheduled in October with Doomed, a follow up to Dammed a novel about a telemarketer in hell. He will also release Beautiful You in October 2014 and Make Something Up for an unspecified date in 2015.
