Nostrafilmus: Catching Fire is Starving for a Director.

Catching Fire needs a tribute.

It was bound to happen. Gary Ross, the director of The Hunger Games, has decided that his shaky-cam infused directorial skills are worth more than Lionsgate is willing to pay. On the one hand, The Hunger Games had the third biggest opening weekend of all time, so it's understandable why Ross would want more money. On the other hand, the film had a built-in fan base from the books that was (ahem) hungry for an adaptation. People are going to see Catching Fire regardless of who's directing it. With that said, who would you like to see put their stamp on the world of Panem? I'm pulling for either Alfonso Cuaron (the king of post-apocalyptic dystopian films) or David Cronenberg (because he made The Fly). What say you?
